Every country has a long term history that evokes both positives and negatives which have obviously contributed to the evolution of that country. Countries that have engaged in wars, conflicted forms of democracy, other political forms of government and issues that have followed the health and welfare of each country such as racism, economic manipulation and so on. Slavery, colonialism, racism, dictators, corrupt governments, etc. have all contributed to the negatives as much as innovation, scientific discoveries, the technical revolution have contributed to the positives. We now see the ghosts that have haunted American life for centuries bleeding out on the streets of a Virginia city. It is shameful, wrong and hurtful and all it does is denigrate all that may be good about America.
